Wolf-boy

This is wolf-boy, I'm wolf-girl (that has nothing to do with anything)
Anyway, he's a character for a story i'm thinking of. I haven't fine tuned it yet so i can't really tell what its about yet. What i do know is that at a certain age a human and an animal (carnivore from tiger to hyena) are brought together and in exchange for sharing the human's long life the animal gives the human traits of its species; Wolf-boy has the ears of a wolf and the tail, he has a keen sense of smell and increadible stamina.
The human is also given the pelt of their animal (not from that one spacifically; it's bestowed upon them by a divine spirit) to use as they wish.
